Now, when the FTC puts together an entire website devoted to educating people on identity theft, a toll free number, and 1000’s of hours of reading material, statistics, and state by state reports, people better believe that this is a major issue in todays society.

Top attorney generals, law officials, and key figures state that it is not if it will happen to an individual, but a matter of when it will happen.

The legal issues of identity theft go way beyond opening up credit cards.  Opening credit card accounts was just the beggining.  The legal issues now include criminals taking over and using your Driver License, Medical Insurance and History, Auto Insurance, Credit history, Employment History, A Childs Fresh Credit History, subscribe to Online Child Porn Rings in your name and credit, commit felony crimes, and much more.

Again the question is Why?  Why do people put Identity Theft Protection on the back burner of life?  Why do people believe it will happen to them?
